150K! Modular Alchemy! Approaching the 48 hour mark! New Stretch Goals?

Hey Folks-
We've broken past yet another 'Final' stretch goal, so it's time to reload them. But I do want to approach this a little cautiously, since one of the goals with this book is to get it out much faster than the previous project.
I like Kickstarter stretch goals with audience participation (voting, ideas, etc) since that's what Kickstarters are all about, but obviously that content needs to be made, tested, etc. Within reason, that doesn't slow the process down much as there's a lot of things that happen in parallel, but I don't want to go too crazy.
Consequently, I think Modular Alchemy will be the last big stretch goal, but seeing how things go we'll have more subclasses and what not.
160K Stretch Goal
But to start with I think there is a solid compromise which will come into life with the next stretch goal: at 160K, I will include a new subclass for Psion in the book, called Illusory Mind. How does this apply to what I've just said? Well, this subclass will be written by fellow creator (and longtime editor, friend, and moderator of my Discord!) somanyrobots. Some of you will know Somanyrobots from his own Kickstarter project, Songs of the Spellbound Sea.
I will work with Somanyrobots on another pass and further playtesting testing (as needed) for the subclass, but you can see a draft version already created here. Somanyrobots has a great understanding of my content and shares a very similar philosophy on content, so including one of their subclasses here feels like an obvious fit when I was in need of a new stretch goal!
You'll be hearing more about somanyrobots in the future, as they have their own Kickstarter coming up later this year: Machines of Blood and Bone. Feel free to give it a follow if you're interested, they are one of the short list of writers I would certainly try to hire if I was ever running a TTRPG company for real, so I certainly recommend checking their stuff out.
I've been a little sick recently, but working on keeping things running along. I will be sending out a preliminary email to all the Custom Tier Backers in not too long just verifying all ideas, and all the artists have been cranking away at the piles of art the book will need... some cool stuff in there!
Can you guess which subclass each is for? It's a trick question... one of them hasn't been published yet!
What happens when DnD characters have to contend with the horrors of a 1950's suburb?
This one is a bit of a smaller project (and a curious one!) but I imagine some folks will get a kick out of the idea—it's a very curious idea mixing genres and styles to bring something novel. The adventure is for 3rd to 5th level characters, and is estimated to be 15-20 hours of playtime.
To give a brief summary from Grinning Portal Games:
Serenity Springs is a horror setting for D&D based on 1950s suburban America. It's an endless suburb of identical houses full of emotionally repressed people in a world devoid of color. The citizens of Serenity Springs are perpetually tormented by The Hayze, a malevolent cloud of static that censors all violence and sexuality… and occasionally conjures inhuman monsters of every shape and size (deemed “Commies” by the populace).
Thank you guys for the support so far. You'll be hearing from me a few more times as we hit the final 48 hours in the next day (possibly having to reload the stretch goals again! we'll see how the final push goes).
As always, feel free to let me know if you have any questions either here or over on the Discord.
All the best,

140K! Closing in Final(?) Stretch Goal! Approaching the final week! + Updates
3 months ago
– Tue, Mar 24, 2026 at 11:02:09 AM
Hey Folks-
We've cleared 140k (and reached almost 2,000 backers!) as we approach the final week. I guess I will have to start prepping some Stretch Goals beyond 150k. In the meantime, the forms for the previous stretch goals are still open, I'll collect them here:
Now that we've hit 140K, we've unlocked the Chronoshifted Airship threats! These will draw on some of the most dangerous foes from the previous books and remix them with some new threats... put them all in the sky with their own airship encounter map, new aerial statblocks that can threaten an airship, and a sleek-yet-deadly airship model of their own only the most veteran sky-sailors can handle...
Speaking of veteran sky-sailors, I've gotten one of the latest pieces of item art from Haya (who has once more provided a nifty time-lapse, and looks like it would be mighty fine adornment for a veteran sky-captain...!
The modular crafting system allows you to create a boundless list of magic items, but I'll be providing a good number of example items like the above Captain's Coat, both for cool visuals and inspiration. These time lapses are the idea of Haya (the artist who drew them!), and I think its really cool to see art leap to life like this!
As for the Sticker Showdown update...
It seems the catlock lead remains insurmountable! We'll see if there is a final burst left in the race.
The latest campaign from Hit Point Press (who you may know from a vast library of the previously published work!), Big Bads: Most Wanted collects 25+ 5th Edition boss monsters from the Big Bads line and includes tons of new content - campaign frames, a new shadowy organization players can join, plus campaign frames that connect multiple Big Bads into a larger story.
They've got a jam-packed Kickstarter of stylish themes and foes, a Free Preview that shows you what it's all about (...if you dare to click the frankly horrifying gif that bars entry to it... I'll elaborate on that no further, just go over and see for yourself!... though it's horrifying in the sense that it's supposed to be horror-themed... let's just say I'm not leaving that gif up on my screen while I type this out!)
Go check it out! Absolutely looks like a lot of stuff people could use in all sorts of games.
Seeing the Finish Line
As always, thanks for the support in bringing the campaign so far! Now's the time to share it with any blokes that might need some time to consider. I've updated the 151 free preview, and will try to push out at least one more update in the final week (hopefully 2) with a bit more content to share!
Onward to Modular Alchemy!
Like always, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me here or on Discord.

Another stretch goal down! + new idea submission forms for spells & feats!
– Tue, Mar 17, 2026 at 09:08:02 AM
Hey Folks-
We've cleared 110k, and with that we've unlocked another stretch goal. Now we are diving into additional spells and feats, and so I'm opening the floodgates to idea submissions for the Kickstarter voting polls for those. They are both in this form, you can submit ideas for either or both, and you can submit as many ideas as you want (just fill out the form multiple times).
My friends over at Loot Tavern have just launched their biggest and epic D&D expansion, Heliana X Ryoko's Guide to Mythozoology!
Mythozoology is over 1000 pages of legendary monster hunts, 26+ new subclasses, 16+ new species, 100+ new monsters, and a whole load of rules expansions and new mechanics to enhance your games, for D&D 2014 and 2024! They're got a bunch of free playtest material on their kickstarter page, so go check it out!
They've got mechanics for collaborative, final-fantasy inspired summoning, crafting and piloting vehicles, airships, and mechs, their own harvesting, crafting, and brewing, armor mastery, and an all new Maker class that animates the world around them to enhance their allies and destabilize foes. They're also giving away free Blue Crystal Myth dice to anyone who backs before Sunday!
It has just launched, but I'm sure will already be funded by the time anyone is reading this! Go check it out. Heliana's and Ryoko's were both fan favorites, so I'm betting on this double sequel to be the Kickstarter event of the year.
Thanks for the support so far, and let me know if you have any questions.

100k! Modular Crafting Demo! + Reloading the Stretch Goals!
– Fri, Mar 13, 2026 at 01:39:29 PM
Hey Folks-
We've hit 100k, and I have a lot of things to share with you! First up, is the Modular Crafting Demo (or Draft, if you prefer). I've talked about Modular Crafting a lot, but here is a hands on look at it:
This is obviously still unedited, a wee bit messy, and is just a slice of the final system. The final version will obviously be more fleshed out (both in terms of general polish and number of modifiers) but this should give folks an idea of what the system is about if my previous descriptions hadn't.
Next up I will try to get the Airship Combat Demo ready to share with ya'll but that'll take a bit.
Now onto the Stretch Goals. We hit 100k, so it's time to populate the rest of the list, this time up to 150k:
We've had 232 submitted subclass ideas so far, I felt adding another poll there was merited (...if we end up going higher, I may add even more). As for the others, a Spell Theme can be something like 'Blood Magic' or 'Gravity' or 'Necrotic' or 'Lightning'; I did a few of these with the last book, and people enjoyed them. I'll open a form of ideas there as well if we get there.
Mystic Path Feats are what I call the supernatural version of Active Martial Feats—for a theme there it would be similar to spells. They can involve transformation feats, or just supernatural powers.
Chronoshifted Airship threats would bring back some of the enemies from KCCC and KCLL as special airship enemies with suspiciously advanced weapons... and perhaps some bits and bobs you could nick from them for your own airship as upgrades.
And, of course, Modular Alchemy. Alchemy isn't included in the base Modular Crafting since it would need more or less entirely unique modifiers. If we reach this goal, I'll make brand new tables for Alchemy that will let folks stack effects to make potions.
Thank you for all the support so far!
As always, feel free to let me know if you have any questions, either here, or over on the Discord. As I know someone will ask, probably don't worry about errors you find in modular crafting—everything we see here will go through 2-3 layers of editing before the book. That's part of what these Kickstarters pay for!
I don't have a KS to spotlight at the end of this one (the timing didn't quite work out, I have a few lined up!), so I'll spotlight some random stuff instead:
I did an interview with a channel called Roll for Law, talking about the book, the path to publishing, licensing for D&D content, and more. It's an hour and half long, so there is plenty there.
The next patreon poll launches probably tomorrow or later today, this time voting on core subclasses for core classes again. The discount for the patreon ('KCAA_Kickstarter') is still active for folks that want in on it.
Last but not least...
Despite a dogged pursuit, the catlocks remain in the lead. Are their brainwashing charms too much to overcome?
That's all I got for you folks! See you in the next update... maybe fairly soon at the rate things are going!
All the best,
-Kibbles
Third Stretch Goal! First bonus subclass secured (guess it's 31+ now?), keep the suggestions coming!
– Sun, Mar 08, 2026 at 02:25:43 PM
Hey Folks!
We've hit 85k!
The first Kickstarter subclass bonus subclass has been unlocked—that's subclasses you will vote on, based on ideas you folks are submitting. There have been a whopping 180 ideas submitted so far (though that includes duplicates!), so it seems like we are going to need to hit a few more of those stretch goals to get to them all........
Think 180 ideas so far are rookie numbers? Feel free to head over to the form and submit yet more suggestions!
Summoners grow their horde with more undead art (by Rafi Gesit)
As far as the Sticker Showdown... here's the current count!
The race has heated up! The doggos are rebound and have narrowed the gap to a mere 7 stickers!
Now... onward to 100k?
Sounds like I'll need to start brushing up ideas for what stretch goals come next...
This time we have another smaller Kickstarter, this time a quick adventure for low level groups, built to be easy and engage to run! Here's a quick summary by the good folks at Dice Legenz:
The Captives of Dolagan is a 45 page book containing 14 beautiful maps, including 2 mini dungeons, new monsters no one at your table will have encountered before, a new, easy to use Time Tracker system to amplify the tension of the story, and 6 optimized pre-made characters. There is no AI content in the book.
Thank you all for your support so far! I think we have a good shot at hitting 100k and beyond, so hopefully I'll be back here in not-to-long with another stretch goal in hand for you!
I think given how many suggestions we've gotten, a few more bonus subclasses wouldn't go amiss... but perhaps we'll mix it up a bit first.
