What does 2014 & 2024 Compatibility mean? Which is written for?
As you can see with the posted Playtest Content, it is written for 2014. It will then have a 2024 conversion added. Both versions are being playtested. In the books, this will include inline notes where needed for edition differences. How the VTT versions will split them remains to be fully determined.
KCCC and KCLL in add ons are entirely 2014, but can be used with 2024 with the conversion guide published online.

Why is Roll20/Shard Table Top versions not available for past books?
Those are available on the storefronts for those platforms (KCLL only for Roll20, both KCLL and KCCC for Shard). As those modules pay a % to the developer, they are only sold their their store fronts.

Why will it take so long to deliver?
Both of my previous Kickstarters took longer than I expected to complete, so I’ve built in more padding in the schedule. But you will get digital content updates every month until it is complete, and printing and shipping updates every month once the PDF is complete. You can expect to have beta versions of most VTTs before their published completion date (and in the case of FoundryVTT, immediately after the Kickstarter as the very rough version of that module already exists).
Additionally, I like to involve the Kickstarter audience in part of the development of the book—if we get to the stretch goals, there will be polls for some additional content. I think this speaks to the purpose of crowd funding and letting folks get involved, but it also means while much of the content is done, I’ll be writing more for the book (should it get funded). Then playtesting, editing, and publishing all take a long time, especially when it all runs through one bloke (me).

Will the content be balanced?
While I’d say yes, balance is tricky term. It will playtested, mathed out, and generally extensively reviewed by a large community, some of whom are optimization minded. This process tends to hammer out anything that would be a ‘problem’, but subjective mileage may very. My content is often regarded as ‘crunchier’ than core content (meaning you have more choices when building characters); while I take pains to balance it against existing content, the existing content itself has a lot of variance. I try to balance 2014 content against XGE era content, and 2024 content against the 2024 PHB.

What sort of printing does the book use?
The book is offset printed in a large production run (that’s what this Kickstarter is funding). It will be printed by the same company as the last books, both of which have received consistently high praise for their print quality.

Are KCCC and KCLL Updated for 5e 2024?
No, these are the versions that were sold during the second Kickstarter. There is online version guide with minor compatibility tweaks available.

Why do KCCC/KCLL copies not ship until the new book ships if these are existing copies?
In order to save shipping cost to the end user. Generating two shipments would double the shipping cost, and shipping isn’t trivially cheap. If you’d like them before you Kickstarter arrives, you can purchase them off my webstore and get them sent out on their own as soon as they are ordered.

Is there a demo version of the Airship Combat?
There is not a public version yet. I had hoped for it to be ready in time for the Kickstarter, but it requires some more time to refine. Hopefully it will be posted during the campaign. Stay tuned.

Is there a demo version of Modular/Artifact Crafting
Not yet. Like with airship combat I’d wanted to get this live at the time of campaign, but I’m still working on fine tuning it. It may be posted during the campaign, but the Airship Combat demo is the higher priority. It works something like the modifier side of the KCCC crafting system, but greatly expanded and revamped into a rarity based system for all types of gear. Stay tuned, and I may have more info to post during the campaign.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
